crying kitten

I have had my female kitten for 3 days now she is amazing at first I thought she was just a vocal kitty but she's constantly crying and meowing... I literally can't do anything without her crying and jumping at my legs. Worried she is unwell or is she just very clingy. It's that bad I can't even do the dishes without her constantly crying and clawing up my legs. She settles once she's picked up or given cuddles but still quite vocal. Any advice would be appreciated

I've never had a kitten so I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like she might just be missing her mum and the rest of the litter?

I got my first hamster not long after she was born and she would cry at night, turned out she was just scared at being separated from the others at first, but she was soon content after a few days of being given lots of attention and getting used to her new home. :)

The fact that she settles when you pick her up and cuddle her makes me think that she feels safe and reassured when you do that, so the rest of the time she's just getting used to a new home and wanting attention to make her feel more at ease.

If she keeps doing it you could always ask the vet to have a look and make sure everything is okay, that's what I was going to do with the hamster if she hadn't stopped crying.

Poor kitten is just scared from the new environment and wants comfort. they're all like that in the beginning, but they adapt fast, so don't worry. Pet her and cuddle her some more, she needs it. She's not unwell, trust me, if she was, she wouldn't be that lively. If a cat is unwell, you'll notice immediately.

She is absolutely fine. Ours calmed down a bit after one week. They are very needy and clingy at the beginning, and it is prefectly normal, we would be like that too in a new environment. Mine was vocal and physically clingy, she wouldn't sleep in her bed but only in my arms for the first week.
