Despite not being frightened of dogs, DS has suddenly decided that next door's cat is a bit scary. I am sure he will get over it (next door's cat is lovely), but maybe he has a point?

and DD adores cats so Im trying to get rid of my phobia

She has lots of toy fluffy cats so I let her play with them in my bed

I let her talk to them in the street as I watch (cower) from a distance

I look at photos of them on tinternet with her on my lap

Im going to touch a kitten evantually

Cant be scared of them forever

Aww you poor thing. As I fellow phobic, i know how debilitating it can be. I hope my picture wasn't too scary (though I did give a clue to the contents in the link I think). I guess you could look on it as desensitising therapy. Just don't try the same thing on me ever!

Shit! I just googled images of the subject of my phobia and made myself have a quick look, sort of as punishment for what I put you through WB. God Almighty! The heart can beat fast very quickly can't it?

i used to be terrifed of cats untill i started working at a vets and had no choice.
now i have 2 :)
