We are about to get a puppy and a kitten.() Can you give me your recommendations for food please?

We always use Science Plan for the cats
Medic Animal have good prices. I know it seems expensive, but lasts ages.

Phone a vet and ask the nurse. The stuff they recommend always seems pricey but it lasts a long time.

My cats are on Royal Canin and my dog is on pet shop own brand dry food. All are thriving and have beautiful coats. But it's down to personal choice R C is a bit pricey , but I get discount.

Aldi own brand cat food is excellent with a higher protein count than many of the premium brands.

Royal canin is excellent. Eukanuba, hills and James wellbeloved are all good quality foods as well

I also recommend getting advice from your vet when you go for check up and vaccinations. They may have some sample bags as well

My cats have Bozita, Cosma & Animonda Rafine wet food & Royal Canin neutered female dry food & they look gorgeous

I mostly buy from zooplus. They have good prices & all the accessories too

Bakers and go-cat are the fruits shots/greggs of the cat and go world.
As a vet I feed my of Arden Grange. Our advice carries the same bias as the pet shop.

If they are specific breeds you can (breed depending) buy specific food. I highly recommend doing that as they are formulated with the breed's issues/needs in mind.

It's more important that are buying the correct age and feeding to the correct weight tbh. There are many different brands etc but it boils down to what is right for you and your animals. As mentioned previously zoo plus is really good (fast delivery and super competitive prices).

It is good to talk to vets however remember they can be bias (they want you to buy from them etc) also remember with cats it's important to have some wet food as 100% dry food diets can cause kidney issues in later life.
