What do you use to clean your dog's feet with?

I'm sick of having mud all over the floor every time the dog comes in from the garden or a walk (-when will the rain stop?!). What do you use and how often do you then clean what you used (-if that makes sense)! He eats doormats, so that is not an option!

Don't have a dog, but do have a very high-maintenance Persian cat we took in as a stray. He doesn't go outside, but he does require a shower every month, and we wash him w/Johnson's Baby Shampoo. So far, so good and he smells lovely!

Give it a bash.

We just use an old towel, then throw it is the wash after a couple of days - he hols his feet up to be wiped now, it's very cute Grin

We have a big door mat and a towel/tea towel/cloth is always on the mat.

As she comes in I stop her on the mat and wipe her feet.
The trick is to open the door just wide enough for them to squeeze through so that they don't just run in and spread mud everywhere.

Our kitchen floor I'm afraid!!! One of ours is a doormateater too (jack russell!).
Will watch this thread in case a magic solution is found...but suspect may be dissappointed...

We have a pile of 'dog towels' for the purpose. If he's really muddy after a walk, we wash his feet by swilling them around in an old Flora tub full of plain water. It has to be just water as he is very good at grooming his own feet and any substance requires extensive licking which can irritate his skin. Like Chloe's pooch he is very funny because he obligingly turns round, without being asked, so we can do the feet on the other side! He doesn't like it but is resigned to it.
