We will hopefully be getting a pair of rescue guinea pigs in the next few weeks, so I've got a few questions.

Can anyone recommend some good guinea pig food? The pellet stuff.

How much fruit and veg should two guinea pigs be given each day? And what types.

And lastly are they expensive to keep?

You need to ask the rescue which dry food they eat now as any major change can upset their tummy.
There are loads of websites which tell you which veg to feed and which not to. The rescue I got our boys from gave us a booklet about this as well.
They are not too expensive. You need fresh hay to eat and as bedding, something like megazorb not shavings on the floor.
Dry food, £3-4 a bag, and fresh veg. I go to a farm shop .
Again ask the rescue how much veg they are used to.
Mine have a bowl full am and pm, so a bowl each, each day .

Hi, I have a lot of g-pigs, and they can be fussy, so go with dry food they have been fed up til now-stuff with vit c in it, as they are like humans and cant absorb it, so need it daily.
I am lucky that I have access to fresh grass- this is their favourite food, and they graze at will. but they need fresh water, hay and dry food for their constant growing teeth. For veg- they love cucumber! carrots, greens, avacado peelings with a bit of avo, celery, apple, pear, strawberries/tops, kiwi peelings with a bit of the fruit, dandelions, herbs......give them a varied diet, and they will be healthy.
