i know your not a pet, but i am remembering you had a bunny with a huge run/play area. am wondering if i can pick your brains about securing an area of garden for bunnies.

hiya! yes... pick away!

how large an area did your buny have? i am looking at getting a female for my little male that i 'rescued' yesterday from a pet shop. he is in poor shape fur wise as have been picked on a fair bit, but generally he is healthy, vet has seen him.

how did you stop him escaping? and can i sneak a peek at the pics again?

can you get a female from the same litter? sometimes they can be quite vicious if they've never met before. A friend of mine got a female to add to a male she had bought and she has to keep them separately because they fight otherwise.
oh and make sure you get one of them neutered! lol

erm... area-wise it varied. I'm a bit crap with estimating space, but I reckon it must've been about 2mx5m or thereabouts.

It was a bit labour intensive but we basically made long rectangular frames which we covered in wire mesh. Then we used them to build a run of whatever shape we wanted, as we moved it round the garden from time to time. they had big long nails in the bottom to stick down into the ground so they'd stay in place.. they were joined together with string at the top.

we then put some long posts in the ground inside the run and draped loads of netting over it which was stapled all round the edges so that we could get in and stand up but nothing else could!

he did manage to dig his way out once but luckily he didn't get far and he wasn't really much of a digger so that wasn't a problem.

I can't find the picture now... it was on here somewhere but I can't make search work...
