My cat is missing

last seen on 25-26th march, went on holiday on the 27th, dad said he didn't see him all week, and we have been back over a week now and still not seen him. have phoned all the vets, and made a poster to put in shops and take to the vets as well. He has disappeared for a week before but never this long..

Oh no Sparkly how awful Sad

Has the weather been bad where you are? Maybe he was sheltering in someones garage or shed and got locked in or something.

You have done everything you can - now it's just a case of waiting and hoping.I know how horrible it is but nothing else you can do at the moment.

have also just put a notice on the local papers website.
We lost a cat 2 years ago, but we discovered his body 2 months later. Also our other male cat went missing last year and we haven't seen him since :(

Have phoned the RSCPA and the Cat protection lost and found dept. too. No cat have been found like him.

GothKat - it's so distressing when they go missing isn't it? We've lost several over the years. Sad

On a happier note I did have one come home after 3 weeks

and on Sun we were out scouring the neighbourhood as our current cat had been missing for hours - and he came home smelling of perfume Smile Turned out that he's gone into someone else's house via a disused cat-flap and got trapped in there

The lady at the Cat protection thinks that he will be back, she said that she has had about 12 calls about male cats that have wandered in the last few weeks.

Sparkly, my old Mog used to go for weeks at a time and turn up OK. I was so worried (he was my baby substitute back then) and used to drive round at night looking. he did turn up.

Unfortunately, I left him behind when I left ExP and ExP noticed he was very ill but ignored it and he died. Goodness, I loathe that man Angry.

I only left him because he begged and I felt a heel for going. Sad

pil's cat recently disappeared for a couple of weeks and suddenly showed up again, bit scrawny but otherwise ok.

No he has returned yet :( Appartently there has been a lot of cats go missing recently in this area and they think people are catnapping them :(

my cat went missing for 5 days, I made up flyers and put them through letterboxes in the area where i lived, got a call next day some guy was hearing noises in his garage, it was my cat. Try printing out some flyers its worth a try, good luck

I know it's horrible but have you phoned the Council - whichever department removes dead animals. Sorry to mention it but I found it a comfort when mine went missing and the Council could confirm she wasn't there.

I found her eventually by walking round the streets in the evening when it was quiet rattling a box of biscuits & calling her name. She came running when she heard me. We'd just moved & she'd been hanging round the back of KFC & couldn't find her way home!
