Does anyone have a manchester terrier / lancashire heeler?

My friend has a beautiful manchester terrier/ Lancashire heeler cross, miniature variety. I'm very keen on getting one too but only have experience of my friends (she is a lovely, laid back little thing!) I would be interested in other peoples experiences. No one else I know has even heard of them! Grin

Both the Manchester and the Heeler have very stronger working instincts - I imagine a cross of these two breeds would only be bred for working purposes (or an accidental mating). As far as I know neither breed comes in a miniature version. Neither breed should be laid back, actually quite the opposite, both should be intense workers with strong "terrier-like" instincts, however there are always exceptions to the rule Wink. Your best bet to get a cross of this type would be to check out one of the agricultural weeklys. Have a look at the Breed Standard for each breed here: \link{www.the-kennel-club.org.uk\Kennel Club} , click on Discover Dogs, then Breeds. Heelers are under Pastoral and the Manchester is under Terriers. If you like strong-willed, challenging, energetic little dogs then either breed would suit you. Smile

Good Luck

Thank you, will check that out. She's a very strange little thing, I thought they were probably both working breeds so heaven knows where she came from!!
