our lovely pet is 14 - and today I found a pool of urine under the chair he sits on - this is the second time this week. what could cause lack of bladder control? very worried. :(

He could simply hae a urine infection - really very common in cats, especially as they get older and less mobile more lazy. It could be many things, but a urine infection is easy to test for, if you can collect a sample (does he use a litter tray? will he go in and empty one - or you can buy some stuff that doesn't absorb to collect sample). You only need a tiny amount of wee for a dipstick exam. Even if its old age incontinence, there are things that can be done.
