Wanted, a few words for a friend whose cat died this morning

Hi mums,

Is anyone a dab hand at poetry or something similar?

A colleague of mine, who is a good friend, had to put her cat, Tux, down this morning, due to a malignant brain tumour. She phoned me in hysterics, and was inconsolable for ages, poor thing.

Please could someone write a sweet little something for her, to help ease her mind that she did the right thing.

Tux was 12(ish), and lived with my friend for about a year. My friend found her as a stray, and took her in. She loved Tux dearly, and needs reassurance that she did the best thing for Tux.

Thanks in advance

sorry, no good at poetry but to just say "Goodbye to a very precious friend" is as good as any----i'm a big cat lover by the way.
Nearly lost our dog to a very busy main road today and my heart nearly burst out of my chest so i'm feeling sensitive to animals myself tonight!

I'm no good at poetry personally, but the place where we got our cats from have a "in memory page" here which might give you some ideas? We had our cat put down almost a year ago with a suspected brain tumour, and it was very hard.

My mil struggled with putting her cat down, whilst I found it hard to be sympathetic( she was very cold when my grandfather died) I did mange to buy her an angel cuddling a cat in Beatties which she found incredibly reassuring. Sounds wierd when put down in writing put she really did appreciate it.

Cheers nooka,

I'll show her that page.

I remember when I lost my dog - I was only 11 at the time, and he had severe health problems by the time we said goodbye. It was like losing a brother, cos my parents had him before I was born.
