Hi not sure if anyone can help but we have a flea problem that I have been trying to combat without success with flea bombs and steam cleaning - have also treated the cat etc - we have mostly floorboards with one carpeted room. Anyway after doing research we used two cans of acclaim on thursday but yesterday my little girl still got bitten? :(
so I wondered do I need to spray again or does the acclaim just take a while to work on hatching stuff and if I continue hoovering will what I have already sprayed kill anything hatching out? And if so how long will it take before we are flea free?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am going slightly out of my mind here...

I think acclaim takes a few hours to kill the adult fleas, I sprayed the house twice two weeks apart and treated the cats.

Did you hoover first? Hoovering first is really important. Acclaim contains two drugs one kills live fleas (works straight away no ongoing effect) and the other inhibits the development of larvae (has 12 months effect.
The hoovering wakes those just about to hatch ones that will not be inhibited. If you have not hoovered you will still have some hatch over the next 7 days or so.
Also putting a flea collar in your hoover bag will kill any that hatch in there.
