Letting my indoor cats outside...

Hi all

Just looking for some advice, I have two cats a 2 year old and 8 month old. Both are fully up to date with their vaccines and are castrated. During the summer we let them outside during the weekends when we were at home and they loved it, the younger one would wonder off a little and the other just stayed in our garden.

I am now 30 weeks pregnant and its such a nightmare at the moment having them as indoor cats, having to make sure the corridor door is shut before leaving the house so they dont run out etc.

I live in a culldesac and so when we have let them out in the past we simply open the patio doors and they tend to roam the other gardens rather than go out the front.

Just wondering how is best to go about letting them out now? Myself and my partner work full time at the moment and ideally I would like to let them out in the morning (if they want to go out) and then call them in when I get home from work and give them their tea and they can stay in for the night.

Any tips or past experiences welcome :) thanks x
