It'll grow back. My cat is highly-strung and has spates of tearing her fur out (and we aren't horrible to her, honest, and have been all over this with the vet). It always comes back.

Don't let her come up and rub your face when she's finished.

If it gets matted again, cut it out with nail scissors, btw. Mats can cause skin problems.

My cat used to have a flea allergy which means he licks & licks his fur to the point where he gets bald patches.

The good news, from your point of view, is that it always grows back.

The vet gave him evening primrose oil capsules (to help his skin recover)if that's any help.
