DD (8) nagging for one when the dog finally croaks (not being nasty it has terminal cancer just waiting for the last good day) - I've been on websites/ read library books but I would like to hear personal experiences.
Other than a brief dalliance with a handmedown hamster I don't know anything other than dogs. DH always had cats, rabbits and g'piggies.
we have the space (once dog's stuff gone) but they are fairly long lived and I'm just not sold...
