before going out shopping she has weed on the washing pile ..is the smell going to wash out

Yes - it will wash out - even at 40c, but if you can wash it at higher, then I would. Ours weed on ds1's schoolbag last week and it washed fine - not a trace left.

Darn cat - peed on my handbag today...........ah well, any excese to throw the old thing out - not even going to attempt to wash it.
