i think pets are brilliant for children to grow up with, but yh i would definatly agree with rubyrubyruby with looking after a few dogs first, not only to see if it would work with your dog but if it also works with your family!

Why not foster a dog for a charity? This way, the charity will pay for vets bills, feed etc and you will get to see what it's like having two around. You will also be helping a dog find its forever home, which is a great feeling. Charities are always looking for foster homes with children, as positive experiences with DC mean the dog can be homed into a family environment.
