Hi, I'd be interested in your take on this - I know freecycle groups vary on whether they allow pets to be offered on the boards - ours has up til now, but following some concerns, has set up a group vote.

Which way would you vote and why?

No.

Would you want a pet where you wouldn't know the full history or had them properly behaviour assessed?

We got a guinea pig off freecycle. a few weeks later she had babies, so we had lots Grin. Luckily we like baby guinea pigs, and I was a bit sorry that our local freecycle banned pets. We got rid of a goldfish through freecycle, when we inherited one in a pond in a house we bought. so really, we found it useful for getting rid of or getting new pets.

I would vote no, as I do not think that people can be vetted as suitable owners via freecycle.

no.
A pet should not be considered in the same way as an unwanted stack of books.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. Shall vote no!
