dont want replies form cat haters! you know who you are!

she eats all the time. its the only thing she wants to do. i have considered it might be worms but she is getting fat so dont think so, you can actually grab a handful of dangling flab from her belly. i have tried talking to her about it but she has quite reasonably pointed out that i have no right to lecture anyone on excess weight.

should i just let her get fatter and fatter or should i put her on a diet? and if so, how much food should she get?

Cut down on the wet, and provide some dry. That way you know that you aren't being mean. Generally they don't like dry food so much, so they are less likely to binge on it. Our large cat (not sure how much he weighs, but he is big and a bit dangly) has about 2/3 of a tin a day, and I fill up his dry food when it looks low. He does meow quite a bit about it, but we have worked out that quite a lot of the noise is about attention, rather than hunger (in that if I sit down he immediately wants to climb onto my lap). It's not kind to over feed them, but if they think you are tight on the food they may make friends with a few other families!

Buy a spot on worm treatment to blob on back of her neck first. It is only £10-£15 from pets at home to treat worms.
I did this with my cat as I assumed the worms were eating all his food. But he didn't have worms he's just greedy. Also I cook him fresh chicken, fish, beef etc and he turns his nose up, but give him a pouch of Felix and he eats it like a heroin addict would shoot up heroin.
I think the companies put something in the catfood. Like caffeine or something like that.
