my dog smells

we have a nine week old lhasa apso puppy and he stinks, even after giving him a wash, my mum says its probably what we,re feeding him but we are giving him proplan as recommended by the place that we bought him from.

We have bought him some "hills science plan" but am now reluctant to give him that if that will make him smell.

Is it right about certain food making them smell?

Do you mean smell in general like their fur?? Or smell when passing wind etc...??

I think food definately affects wind!!!

We have 2 dogs and the puppy is 12 weeks and smells differently. The vet said it's a puppy smell kind of like a baby smell but not as nice

my dog stunk when i got her (smelt nice when i had to rehome her tho). i used to bath her every other day for the first 2 weeks, then each week.

They don't like baths.
I only used to bath mine if he'd rolled in soemthing nasty. Bathing strips them of their natural oils so they may over-produce to compensate, which can be smelly in itself.
