we had a kitten last week end - it's was apparntly fleaed before she came to us - but in the week we noticed one so today we flea shampooed her - will this kill it off? or do i need to do anything else?

I use the drops on my cats, but apparently the tablets you can get in petshop (4fleas ithink it called) is very good.

Get some frontline from the Vets (it's a bit more expensive - but it really works)

Kittens must be over 8 weeks (I think)

Wouldn't touch anything from a pet shop with a barge pole (dh is a vet, maybe that's why...) Frontline or similar once, then there is some stuff that you sprinkle on the carpet (can't remember what it is called) but it dries out the environment (under sofa etc - warm dry places) so eggs can't hatch. hoover really well for a few weeks. But fleas are incredibly tough insects, so organophosphates (chems in Frontline etc), altho nasty, are the only things that will actually kill them. Herbal things etc will only discourage them. HTH.
