we have been away for 4 days and a friend has been coming in every day to feed my cat. Got home today and have been told that a cat was found by a neighbour by the side of the road. it looked as if its back was broken but was still alive so the rspca was called and they took it away. a poster was put up in the local shop by them saying cat found and to ring their number. i know now that this is definately our cat. we are in pieces and my children will be devastated but we need to know what has happened to her before we tell them anything but they are asking where she is. we have rang the number and were told someone would ring us back but they havent. we've driven to the local rspca centre who said she would have been taken to a vet in the area but they r all closed. i can't stop crying, i know she's probably dead but there is a chance she isnt. how do i find her?

So sorry, I have no idea apart from maybe trying tomorrow or once the bank hols are done with. :( how awful

If they RSPCA took the cat away, they should know which vet it went to. I think you need to go back and ask them.

weve tried but its the national number and they said they'll get someone to ring us back but they havent. i know its probably due to bank hol but surely they have some staff still around.

I'm very sorry to hear about your cat. If you have not heard yet it maybe because the individual ACO or inspector is off shift and has not had a chance to log details yet. Often on these long weekends their feet barely touch the ground when they are working and then they just want to sleep.
