WWYD? Animal cruelty in my opinion

Am reeling with anger! Cant go into to much details as dont want to out myself as sensitive subject but my DS (8) came home v upset and told me that the kids next door placed their guinea pig on the 10ft trampoline and jumped around on the trampoline. The poor animal wet itself and they chucked it off!!

Animal cruelty or what? They look after all their animals appalingly and their kids have absolutely no respect for the animals.

So tempted to phone the RSPCA! WWYD?

Phone em Shock

Vallhala · 29/04/2011 20:50

RSPCA won't do anything as you have no proof.

The kindest thing you could do for thr poor mite is to line up a decent home or rescue place for "your" giuines pig and then ensure that theirs goes mysteriously missing the next time they go out/one night soon when no-one can see.

Personally I'd make the brats wet themselves in fear too, but that's another story...

Shock what little sh*ts. I agree with Vallhala (go and rescue the poor thing), i can't believe how parents allow there kids to handle and treat pets like this Sad.

Jellykat · 29/04/2011 21:32

OMG That's bloody disgusting.. did the parents see i wonder? Can you go round and go ballistic say something to them?

Can you take photos if it happens again, as proof for the RSPCA?

VinoEsmeralda · 29/04/2011 23:38

The parents don't have any empathy for their animals. They have been bought with very little consideration for their welfare, just toys for their kids. Can't really blame it on the kids ( who are complete little sh*ts)as it's the parents that should set the boundaries.

It has crossed my mind a few times to letbit disappear! Might just do it but have to make sure my dc don't realise!

This makes me feel physically sick as gps are so lovely natured. Could you phone the local gp rescue and ask them what to do. I agree that this little piggie needs to be rescued.

VinoEsmeralda · 02/05/2011 20:53

Just an update- they were out today and me and other neightbour (we climbed over the fence- felt very naughty/young!)went to have a look and they left poor piggy in the full sun..

Anyway they have planned to go away in the next half term and we will rescue piggy then or earlier if opportunity arises and he/she will go to a friend of mine who lives on a farm and has 28 already! So there should be a happy ending!

Some people are not worthy of animals!!

Vino, you're a ruddy star. Sometimes we have to commit small acts of wrongfulness in order to prevent far bigger acts of inhumanity - and this is such a case.

Take care, good luck and cover your ass! Wink

Browncoats · 03/05/2011 10:47

WEll done Vino!!!!!! As Vallhala says - cover your arse well!

Let us know how the 'mission' goes

emmam25 · 03/05/2011 11:17

I have to have a little cheer! Well done Vino! I can't abide animal cruelty and I think it is definitely in the piggies interest to go to a happy home... but is there a chance they will simply go and get another poor creature to torture? Surely it is worth contacting the RSPCA as well to prevent this or indeed simply get them to treat the animals with some respect?

theodorakis · 27/04/2012 12:39

You are bloody awesome!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/05/2012 10:38

Fuckers. Hope it goes well.

LowRegNumber · 02/05/2012 10:48

Won't they just go buy another one? After all they have all the kit to keep it, the piggy is the cheap part of a small animal setup! Without moving into criminal damage to relieve them of the hutch etc I would suspect you will be looking at rehoming piggys for the foreseeable future.

LowRegNumber · 02/05/2012 10:50

Oh old thread... And my point already made... Good job I don't post often :D
