Hi, have two jack russells,8 and 13. Could anyone give me a rough idea what it would cost to kennel them for eight nights. Cant seem to find anything near where I live to ask and older dog gets car sick !

I am in the south west and our kennel charge £15 a night.

My dog also suffers from car sickness and it is tricky getting him as far as the kennels!

Im in Lincolnshire.Put older dog in kennels when he was 2 and paid 25 quid for the week! Have learnt to put newspaper in dog bed in back of car and not bedding that you need to be left with dog !

If you're struggling to find kennels locally you may like to call your local independent rescue as often they'll know of someone who offers a holiday care service from home.

I'm such a dog carer and many of the recommendations I get are from rescues I work with (but it's okay, I'm not advertising, I'm in Cambs so too far out for you!).

Kennels for two small dogs will cost between 15 and 20 pounds per day I'd say. This is going on what rescuers pay boarding kennels when they cannot immediately find a rescue place for a pound dog who will be killed if he isn't taken out of the pound immediately... and we don't tend to get concessions owing to being rescuers, sadly!

I've just booked mine in for 4 nights at £18 per night.
I'm very worried I think she will hate it Sad

Older jack is a rescue dog and has stayed in kennels before and he loved it! Luckily I have two so they would be ok together.Going to try family first ,then the house and the dogs are watched !
