It is driving her nuts. It only started happening yesterday, but her back legs twitch and also the back half of her body.

She keeps washing both back legs when the twitching is happening.

Any ideas ???

Actually her ears and front legs have just been twitching too.

Is she making any sounds?

I've never seen this,I would check with a vet as soon as you can.-Although,just a thought, could she have picked up fleas?

TheOriginalNutcracker · 27/12/2010 20:40

Nope no sounds, and doesn't appear to be in pain, but it is annoying her I think.

She gets like a ripple effect up her back too. It's very weird to watch.

I was wondering wether it was fleas actually, and/or worms.

I do treat her for both regularly but thinking about it I think the last does was missed.

Sounds like fleas to me.

Meant to say that she is eating and drinking as normal.

Right will go and search cupboard for frontline. Will get some tomorrow if I can't find any.

The ripple up the back really sounds like fleas,if she twitches and then suddenly starts a frantic biting/grooming then virtually certain to be fleas. You can check her, little dark specs in her fur (flea poo) or if you want to spot the blighters themselves then her tummy is the place to see them running,as the fur is thinner.
