Cat going into heat.....

I have a female who is now over a year old. The vet said back in June that she should start calling soon but nothing I can't get her spayed till after her first heat! Could there be something wrong with her?

You can get her speyed now-there is no need to wait until after the first season. Speak to your vet regarding getting her booked in. She may have silent heats etc (not calling) and may be at risk of unwanted pg.
