Introducing new cats

We have two 5 year old cats, they get along fine, more benign indifference than friendliness but no issues, we´ve had them both from kittens. One was a stray and still very very neurotic, jumpy, affected by change etc.

I might need to foster 2 other cats (maybe 1 or 2 yrs old) for about 6 months.. any advice on whether to do this or not (mainly given my cat´s emotional instability) and if so how to best go about it? We have a garden and our cats go out, the other cats are fine to go out too. It is for a family member and I really want to help them by doing this but obviously don´t want either of my cats to take off in indignation.
