Just got a 91/2 week old dog, she is an inuit - basically a husky/alsation mix, very trainable, wolfy looking dog. She is lovely, and already sticking with me, sitting, almost staying, very obedient...BUT....she hates staying in her crate with the door shut. She basically hates being alone. She just doesn't stop crying, and appears visibly upset and nervous after I let her out. Everyone is saying to just chuck her in and leave her...my instincts are telling me not to. I don't know if it truly does work for all dogs? I know she is panicking in there. I gave her a kong with peanut butter, her kibble and chicken bits which she loves, but she didn't even touch it. THoughts? support?
Just to add have done everything you're supposed to wiht the crate, and she does go in there if we are around...
