Oscar is now 6 months old today & we had to weigh him last night before giving him the correct dosage of worming medication . He is 26kg , so on the big side for a springer . He doesn't look fat but very muscular iykwim . He is still on 3 meals a day but should i cut him back to two meals ? TIA

The guide on the dog food containers is only that; a guide. If you and your vet think it is ok, dont worry about it.

I have always fed my adult dogs twice a day, I just dont like the one meal a day thing, seems mean to me.

Pups on the other hand, 3 or sometimes 4 meals a day depending on age and size.

The usual guide is 3 meals a day until six months and then drop a meal once they start to lose interest in one (usually lunch).

Agree about not cutting down to one, it can make dogs very grumpy and moody before their meal as they are just so hungry.
