pup is almost 6months old springer & i can not hang out washing as he pulls it all off the line & drags it into the grass to sleep on them , he has his own blankets but prefers my lovely clean laundry Hmm . Any tips on how to get him to stop would be very much appreciated Smile TIA .

You don't know how lucky you are.

My dogs prefer soiled laundry Grin

bella Grin

My bed sheet is back in the washing machine for the second time today Arghhhhh . There must be some way of getting him to stop

I'm sure Minimu would have a step-by-step click and treat scenario Wink

Have you taught him 'leave it' ?

Blush i name changed earlier & forgot to change back lol , its Elmo here .

We do say "drop it" to him but he thinks its a game & starts to run around dragging washing along & then lies on it under the table on the decking . If i walk to one side of the table he will run to the other side It takes two of us to corner him to get the washing back .

How's about a favourite toy, kept specially for occasions when you need something really interesting to swap for some clean washing?

As I'm sure you realise, chasing him is just turning it into a fab game which he loves Wink

Yup im coming to that conclusion Grin Have tried to bribe him to drop the washing with treats but he seems to find the washing more enjoyable .

Squirt of water from a water pistol or plant spray to his bottom or leg when he starts to do it. He won't like it and won't associate it with you because you'll be behind him. Should make him think 'everytime I pull the washing this unpleasant thing happens to me. Ime 3 times should be enough to stop him.

Thanks mrsjohndeere & Bella . I'll try the water pistol although he loves water , he even sticks his head into the path of the hose to bite at the water when we are watering the plants Hmm mad dog .
