was at school waiting for ds to some out and had WB with me. a little cat comes along and seems quite curious about him but is keeping her distance. this other mum who was standing near it declares "i f*cking hate cats" (with young children present) and takes a swipe at the cat with her foot, scaring it away so that it ran onto the road infront of a car that had to brake. she then says " did you see her, she braked so hard that child nearly flew out of it's seat" and laughed, completely ignoring the fact that she had created the situation. she then goes on to say she prefers dogs, asked me how old Wb was and decides she would like "one like that" for her dcs as a house dog because the two she has aren't house dogs she just keeps them for breeding, apparently rotties get good money 
(my heart sinks at this point). then one of the other mums comments that she can't have cats as she keeps racing pigeons, to which the cat hater replies, "oh i hate pigeons aswell, i killed on the other day"
