spent a lovely night away with DH and left DDs and puppy with mum, who insisted I bring DDs and puppy to her house instead of her coming here. So she was a jack russel x chwowa (no idea of spelling! sorry). They get on fine but i get back today to be moaned at for 30mins about how bad my dog is!!

  1. he pee'd on floor, they didnt show him garden

  2. they didnt lock his crate properly so he got out and ate 1/2 of doggy biscuits

  3. because of this him spent the day being sick :( which they moaned about. They know his on strict diet because of previous tummy upsets

4)they didnt walk him at all and then wondered why he was running round like looney.

  1. they moaned her was too playful with their 2 year old dog! his a puppy!!

  2. they feed dogs in same room and wondered why when he finished his he tried to eat their dogs food!

They have said never again for the puppy (but happy to have girls), but tbh aibu to think i wouldnt leave him there again anyways!

YANBU.Poor pup. I wouldn't leave him with them again either.

YANBU. It's ridiculous to blame the puppy for their incompetence.

some people don't employ logic when caring for animals. my dad is an animal person but sometimes even the things i hear him say makes my mouth fall open.

i think you are right not to leave your pup with her again. arrange to have someone stay at your house with him if you have to go away again, someone who knows whta they are doing.

Yeah. it's tough. My parents said they'll have my lab pup while we go away but she is nuts right now. They had her for the day last week and nearly went insane, but TBH half the problems were avoidable knowing what she is like - they know her well and are doggy people. Dad made me feel so bad I offered to find a kennels instead, but mum seems determined to cope. Am wondering what horrors will come back to in the end......chewed sofa? chairs? carpet? - or will they actually use the crate for her like I suggested when not supervised.
Hope it all gets sorted between you all soon.
