How much do they charge? Thinking about the possibility of becoming one! What do you look for/want in a dog walker? thanks for any info you can provide.

I have done dog walking for the Cinnamon Trust as a volunteer and been amazed by some of the prices dog walkers have charged, £17 for about 30 mins for 2 dogs!

Apart from lots of dog experience I think one of the most important things to have is adequate insurance so that if a dog is injured whilst in your care you cover any vets bills.

£12 per walk. It can range from 45 mins to 6 hours depending on where she is planning to walk. This is in Surrey btw.

I look for solid references and reliability. Also my dog walker is always attending training sessions and doing medals and the like. Plus she's very firm and in control. My dog, who is quite a bossy GSD, knows that she is in charge and not to try it on.

Mine charges £9 an hour with a discount to £8.50 an hour if you use her for 5 weekday walks each week - the walks are not one on one - I think she tends to take my dog out with three other dogs maximum at any one time. She's fully insured and my dog seems to love her!
