My friend has just rescued a pregnant rabbit when she picked her up she was told she was due on 12th August.
This morning when she went to check on her she found one baby in the centre of the hutch. The baby was moved to the sleeping area but has since died. There is no sign of any other babies.
The baby had some fur on it which is puzzling my friend as is there being no other rabbits.
The rabbit has a lovely temprement and this has not changed.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar or if they think she will go onto have more babies?
She is booked in at the vets tomorrow to be checked over
