sorry no advice re Birmingham but why not phone round the vets for advice? They usually know all the good catteries and if not often receptionists etc there do cat sitting/feeding services as well as they have access to large client-base.

know of a couple of fab places on Nottinghamshire/leicestershire borders but guess too far for you!

Phone the vet and ask if anyone there does cat feeding at home maybe? Then they can be looked after very easily. This is what we have done.

Cats are perfectly happy, maybe leave a radio on for a bit of background noise? It's also good to have someone going into the house each day when it is empty. Whoever comes in to feed them will fuss them a bit and they will sleep the rest!

They will not need to forgive you!

I bet they are very cute
