Thanks Valhala - we're terrified of this happening with my parents Borders, one of them in particular would be extremely desirable and there have been thefts in the area

So sad, and lord knows where these taken dogs end up

being a Staff amongst the most stolen breed as it is, and she is a blue pure bred, very gorgeous!

Both my hounds have got 'I'm chipped and spayed' on their tags, as well as our details, in the hope it might deter anyone thinking of stealing them to breed. It's my worst fear, losing them.

sadly don't think its just dogs either- have noted a very alrge amount of cats (maionly pedigree) going missing from our area latel;y, at rate of maybe 2 a week (and its a small town / large village not massive city)

Horrid. luckily opur cat is aging and mainly in but feel so sorry for those who have lost pets, one had medical needs too and missed life saving meds

we had a real problem with dogs being stolen in our area recently.
Thankfully our Cocker is chipped and the JR will be when we take him to the vets next month.

Sadly most are either used for breeding or for baiting in dog fights.

Makes me feel sick to think of it
