Does anyone give this to their dogs to help with joint stiffness and do you find it helps?

TIA

I don't, but some of those I know do and swear by it.

Owners of Labs and Collies who are friends of mine report good results. These are seriously doggy people so I'm inclined to be happy to take their word for it.

Thinking of giving it to my 10yo Lab x, who, whilst his joints are thankfully fine, isn't getting any younger and is slowing down a little, so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

My MIL used to give it to her old GSD who had hip dysplasia (sp??) and it certainly helped her... It helped to the extent that if she missed giving it for a few days in succession then the dog became noticeably more reluctant to get up and walk about. (And with a dog, there's no chance of any element of "placebo effect" that there could be if it were a human with joint problems who was singing its praises!)

Will get some. We have just had 2 lurchers come to live with us aged 4 and 7ish. I've known them for about four years and walked them for the Cinnamon trust but their owner has died and luckily we are able to have them. They are settling in really well.

Yes, we have three greyhounds, aged 11, 10 and 6. We get Synoquin, a glucosamine supplement from our vet, and all three use the Large Dog size. Our 11 year old has arthritis in her shoulder and while there is no cure, she is (touch wood) doing very well, with a combination of the Synoquin, a NSAI and mild painkillers. For the other two, who have both raced a lot before retirement, this is part of a regime which hopefully may prevent any joint problems in the future. Do you know if the lurchers were working at all before their last home?

Love lurchers, and hope they are doing well. Cinnamon Trust is wonderful, I have done some dog walkign for them and it's brilliant. Must admit the regular newsletter usually has me in tears though when I read it - am complete wuss.

Thanks scuttlebutter, the younger had been rehomed before he was one so both have just been pets.

I know exactly what you mean about the newsletter!
