I've just picked this up from one of the doggy forums:

Please give Lucy a home ... She was found on Saturday wandering the streets with a bag of dog dirt around her neck. She is a staffordshire bull terrier, thirteen years old and is of a lovely nature.
She had been hit by a car but after being checked over by a local vet, she has now been sent to the RSPCA in Liverpool.

I have just seen this on F/B and apparently she has until Monday before she dies.....no photos but I thought i'd post anyway just in case.....poor old girlie

A supporter writes-Just spoken to them for an update and her time is up on 27.07.10 she was taken in on 19.07.10 and is in Kennel 75

Update!

"Thankyou to everyone on here for caring about LUCY xxx... The latest news on Lucy is that yesterday we phoned an animal sanctuary who have agreed to take her in. The RSPCA found out she has health problems and she would have been put to sleep on Monday but that won't happen now.
They wouldn't have let anyone e...lse have her but are willing to give her to the animal rescue sanctuary, where she will have an operation."

Thank God for independent rescue... and RSPCA... you're a bloody disgrace.

Poor thing. I'm pleased she has a home. I don't think the RSPCA have the funds or the space to take in every abandoned animal
