Donation requested

Two weeks ago my local animal charity group rang me to ask for my help in trapping a stray kitten who i was leaving little scraps of food out for . Apparently the neighbour at the back of mine had complained about the stray cats in the area (there's about 8 stray cats) so i helped trap this little cat . She has been neutered yesterday & due to be brought back today to be released . Now they have asked me if i could give a small donation .... How much do you think would be acceptable ? TIA

Is it a feral cat they are releasing? If not it really is not fair of them to be just letting a kitten out without a home.

How much do you want to give? It is not like the kitten is yours so paying the full costs of neutering should not be your problem, unless of course you want to give that sort of money to them?

Yes its a feral cat & i asked them if they could get her a home but they said no . The best they could offer was to release her back to my area where she is used to.
I gave €20 donation as thats all i had in my purse .
