We are getting a pair of Guinea Pigs

We brought the cage today and some toys and food and hay and bedding.

We can go and pick up our babies in two weeks. So excited my two dd (5 and 10) have helped clean out the cage and chose the toys and are so excited to be getting their first ever pets. Yay.

I looooooooooooooooove guinea-pigs. They are so chatty and cute. Remember to check they are same sex (unless you do want more piggies) and, as Lola says, you must never ever feed a guinea-pig a potato.
I'm very jealous though - guinea-pigs are adorable & your dds wil love them.

Remember to cuddle them lots - they get tamer and tamer the more you cuddle them1

Aww lovely. Are they long or short haired ones? They make lovely first time pets.

We had a long haired one who died a few weeks ago at the ripe old age of 7.

They are short haired brown and white, two girl babies, getting from a breeder and she has sexed them as she has kept some herself. Girls are so excited and keep looking at the cage and wishing that the piggies were here and in the cage. Two weeks seems so long when your 5 and 10 (and 36)

You'll love them. We got two a week ago and I sneak out at lunchtime (work from home) fro a cuddle and a stroke, then another before I go to bed. Think I love them more than the kids do. They are so snuggly and cute.

Thanks can't wait we can pick them up the beginning of August but then we are on holiday the end of August and were wondering what to do with the piggies but our wonderful neighbour has just offerred to look after them for us. Just need to get them now and have lots of cuddles.
