I have 2 dogs, a 2yo rescue lurcher who i do LOTS with, agility, cycling, runnig etc. I also have a nearly 3yo curly coated retriever
who due to health problems i don't really 'do' anything with him. He is well trained but i feel he would love to do 'something' but here is the problem, what can we do?

He broke his growth plate in his rear knee when he was 3 months old, after surgery and 4 months of house arrest he was fine. Then last August we felt there was something wrong, cue 2 more massive surgeries to break, remove and pin back together his leg to make it straight. the vets actually hired an enigneer to make a specialist plate for him so it would hold . He again was on house arrest from October to Feb, most days being sedated . we took walking slowly from Feb and he is just about up to an hour everyday off lead mainly. All going well but due to all his time recouping he is about 6 KG over weight, he is a programme and regular weigh ins from vets. So what can i do with him? Any ideas much appreciated as i am at a loss.

Wow wish I could lose weight at that rate!

Have you heard of rally o. link

It is great fun and is not energetic for a dog with injuries. Makes them use their brain and work with you as a team.

This link may be better ukrallyolink
