Hello,
As you might have seen, one of the key asks of our Medical Misogyny campaign is better education and training for clinicians, so that women’s health is properly understood, from how conditions can present differently in women, to knowledge of sex-specific conditions like endometriosis.
Right now there isn’t a consistent standard for this. That means - as so many of you have shared on our Talk boards - your experience can depend entirely on who you happen to see. We hear it on Mumsnet all the time: symptoms being dismissed, years to get a diagnosis, or having to push for up-to-date treatment like HRT.
We don’t think that’s good enough.
We’ve launched a Parliamentary petition calling for mandatory training in women’s health. This is about making sure women are listened to, diagnosed earlier, and treated properly — every time, not just when they’re lucky.
If this is something you’ve experienced, or you want to help push for change, please consider signing and sharing:

Thanks,
MNHQ
