The petition to support the UK ceramics industry has 64,000 signatures, it needs 100,000 to trigger a debate in Parliament. Ceramics manufacturing is excluded from the Supercharger scheme to help energy intensive industries, including chemical manufacturing. It's too late for Denby but we don't want to lose any more manufacturing in the UK.

Petition: Support the Ceramics Industry and protect British manufacturing jobs and skills

Apply energy intensive industry relief (Supercharger scheme) to the ceramics industry to help cut soaring industrial energy costs & support ceramics businesses, which are at the risk of imminent collapse without urgent intervention, as seen with Denby...

@DeskGnome I didn't realise there was a petitions topic! It's a shame because no one will actually see it now. I wish there was quicker action for the things on here that actually do need dealing with quickly like inappropriate posts/pile ons.

I'd say all in all the action is pretty quick depending on how many HQ staff are around, and of course there are night watch volunteers too.

I get what you mean about this being quieter forum but if you've ever been on any chat forum that gets spammed with petitions, fund raising and other private ads, you'll know the site becomes pretty unusable.
