There is a serious housing crisis in the U.K. People need homes to live in. Our economy needs a thriving construction industry. No, I won’t be signing this petition.

Build, baby, build.

They have already put up 150 houses to the side of this site. They are not the kind of housing we need in this area, unfortunately. They are £100k above the asking price of current stock in the area with no social or affordable housing. Oh, and there are many properties already for sale in the area. Our local council housing estate is currently half empty.

If you read the petition you understand that there are no public transport links, or enough local amenities for the first phase let alone the second.

Need before greed.

Wow. The level of ignorance here is astounding. You can't just throw up housing everywhere. That's why we have planning departments and laws.

Don't tell me, you also hate landlords.

Quoting a Labour minister playing on a Republican president's quote is also laughable.
