My father's memorial bench had stood proudly in Springburn Park, Moses Field Memorial Gardens It was the very first bench placed there, lovingly paid for by our family and friends. It represented a place where we could sit, reflect, and feel connected to him and his memory.my father did a lot of
Charitable work for Springburn

Community. bench was donated by people of Springburn and family .

But now, my heart aches as the place where my father's bench once stood is no longer marked by his presence. A charitable organization, with promises to repair the bench, took it away. Sadly, it was never returned, and to our shock and dismay, another family's bench was placed in its spot.

When we approached the local parks department, they asked us to pay £2000 to reinstall a bench in memory of my dad. How could this be fair when we already had a bench there in his honor?

This bench was more than just wood and metal; it was a sacred space for our family and for all who cherished his memory. Asking us to pay an exorbitant fee for somethin⁹g we already had is unjust and deeply hurtful.

We are not asking for something new or extravagant, just for what was taken from us to be returned – our beloved memorial bench in its rightful place.

Join us in urging the Glasgow Parks Department and the charitable organization involved to restore my father's memorial bench without additional cost to our family. Help us keep this cherished memory alive in the heart of Springburn Park.
