AIBU to ask for your support?

Hi everyone,

Not an AIBU but I am posting for traffic as the previous post didn’t get any views.

I have started a petition to push for improved health and safety laws in the workplace for pregnant women and their unborn children.

I am asking if you could spare a few seconds and sign it please?
And to help increase reach, please could you share it?

I experienced significant challenges in the workplace during my pregnancy - challenges that were preventable had there been a stronger lean on compassion and common sense.

Sadly, there is a lot of evidence to show that, whilst this is a personal issue for me, it is likely that everyone knows of someone who had a hard time in the workplace whilst pregnant.

I believe that no one should have to choose between their job and their health, or the health of their child.

Perhaps you could add your voice to asking for more focus on women’s health in the workplace?

Or maybe you can sign it for a wee boy called Jack, who is 5.
Who had a rough start and who has a hard road ahead of him in life.

He reminds us every day of the importance of a healthy working environment for pregnant women and sadly; the consequences of not providing one.

And for his mum, who is trying to make it count for something.

Thank you for reading,
Kirsten

I read your petition and can't work out what you're actually asking for, beyond harsher punishment for companies who don't follow existing legislation. You don't explain what you think is wrong with current law or what specifically should be changed.
