Noah was just a child, like my children, perhaps like your children. He set out on his bike one sunny Sunday to meet his school friends to work on his Duke of Edinburgh Award. He didn't arrive. Nobody helped him. His naked body was found in a drain six days later. Over two years on, his mummy is still having to fight for the truth about how her only child died and for justice for him.

Noah's mummy Fiona Donohoe and his auntie Niamh Donohoe have organised a peaceful gathering at City Hall, Belfast at 1pm this Saturday, 13th August, 2022. If you are in Belfast or can be on Saturday, please come along to support Fiona and Niamh. They are calling for the truth and for justice for young Noah, and are speaking out against the use of Public Interest Immunity Certificates by the Police Service of Northern Ireland. One has just been approved by new NI Secretary of State/MP for North West Cambridgeshire Mr Shailesh Vara. It will keep almost 600 pages of information secret - and for decades - about the disappearance and death of this innocent and beautiful child. This has happened before and with devastating consequences for the whole of the UK and Ireland - Robert Howard, who went on to kill another child in Kent, protected by a PII Certificate in the death in NI of young Arlene Arkinson, for example - and will continue to happen unless it is stopped.

Everybody wishing to peacefully support Noah, Fiona and Niamh is welcome - all ages, all backgrounds, all religions and none, all politics and none - everybody. If you can, please make or print out from the internet a poster or banner and wear something blue - but do not worry at all if you can't, because coming along on Saturday just as you are is more important.

If you are new to Noah's story and want to know more, please read this factual pinned thread on Twitter. You do not need to be on Twitter to read it. Just click on 'log in' whenever it asks you to, and then click on 'x'. If the thread ends, click on 'show replies' each time:

Please also watch this podcast with Fiona:

The decision currently stands with a coroner, one Joe McCrisken:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-62437301

It is essential that the coroner, the police, the government and those withholding information hear Noah's voice now. Noah can't speak up for himself. Please use your voice to speak up for him and for all children. Please help Noah now.

Please help spread the word, especially to those not on social media, even if you only tell one person. Thank you.

Bumping, good luck , I hope there is a huge turn out for Noah & his family.

HeartsOfBlue · 11/08/2022 23:36

Fantastic, @TooBigForMyBoots 💙

It's certainly looking like it. As well as local people, I'm hearing of people travelling hundreds of miles to stand with Fiona. People coming as three and four generations, from babes in arms to great-grandparents. People coming on their own, or with family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, community groups, school or college friends. Men, women, teenagers and children. It's also going to be a very diverse group uniting for Noah - Fiona and Niamh want everybody to feel welcome, from all backgrounds.

I apologise to everyone having difficulty finding this thread. Unfortunately this has been completely out of my control. I found out only when you did. The thread has been moved by MNHQ without any contact with me via email and without any comment from them on the thread. I find this disrespectful and unsupportive, towards me as the OP and a longstanding mumsnetter, towards other posters on this thread and towards Noah and his family. In the past, we could have expected better from Mumsnet. I can only conclude that the reports complaining against threads for Noah have continued by those with their own agenda. Whether this is racism, sectarian bigotry, fear of the truth and justice because of the attention Noah's story is now getting, or something else, I can only guess. I do know that negative reporting and racist and other trolling posts towards his mummy Fiona have increased alongside publicity after the PII was signed and ahead of the rally for Noah on tomorrow. The haters won't win. Justice for Noah and the truth for Fiona. 💙

Please do join the rally in Belfast tomorrow if you possibly can. Please don't leave it to other people to swell the numbers on your behalf. If everyone thought like that, nobody would be there. Please come and stand up for Noah, stand with Fiona and Niamh, and stand up for all children. As Noah's auntie Niamh says, 'Everyone is welcome to show their support on Saturday. All parties, all cultures & religions. Noah's Army & the fight for truth & justice is inclusive of all.'

Noah Donohoe's family releases statement ahead of Belfast city centre protest
www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/noah-donohoes-family-release-statement-24742546
"I'd like to firstly reiterate our complete gratitude at the swell of support around the worrying use of PII," Noah's aunt Niamh Donohoe said.
"The fact we are not screaming into the abyss alone is a huge comfort and support to us. People finally see the injustice of a lot of decisions being made in Noah's Case.
"Tomorrow is a gathering of Noah's Army from all across the globe, people have extended trips from NYC to be here, are travelling from across the pond and from all counties of our beautiful island. Each and every one of you are making a difference and impact. You are Noah's Voice.
"To all our friends in Noah's Army who can't be with us, we know you will be in spirit and will watch with pride as a community of amazing humans send out a strong message to those who need to see it.
"Please remember this is not a march. We are asking people to stand with us at Belfast City Hall at 1pm. There will be a few key speakers talking about the PII issue and because of time constraints on a gathering of that size we will ask the crowd to disperse safely and quickly at the end.
"We hope to keep you all no longer than an hour, it's the solidarity and the volume of people coming together that will have the impact, not the duration of the stand. Saturday's weather will be warm again so please be aware and take precautions.
"Thank you to everyone involved over the past two years especially Noah's Army you all make the difference."
