Women's Rights Network have got excellent pre-written letters (you can customise them too) where you just have to enter your name, address and email and they will send them to your MP. They add new letters regularly, so keep an eye out! Please consider sending the following letters, found under the "Campaign Action" tab.

No to Drag Queen Story Hour
No to self-ID in children's homes
No to self-ID in Scotland

Template letters are generally ignored, or at least just put onto the pile of others. You need a lot of people sending their own original letters to have much chance of shifting an MPs opinion.

Good point.

As HelenaRavenclaw points out, "you can customise them" and this is very much encouraged, for the reasons that you state.
