💙 THREAD 2: Will you spare five minutes to help the lovely Noah Donohoe get the justice he deserves and to support his mummy Fiona in getting the truth about what happened to her beloved son? 💙

My son, Noah Donohoe was an intelligent smart gentle boy. He was 14 years old and he was my only child and my everything.

On 21st June 2020, a bright sunny day, Noah set off on his bike to meet up with his 2 friends but never reached his destination. Instead, Noah was found 6 days later in a storm-drain, naked, in a part of Belfast he did not know.

On the day Noah was found, before Noah was formally identified, the Police did a media release stating that there was ‘No Foul Play’ involved. I ask, if the police are so sure that ‘No Foul Play’ was involved, why are the police now trying to stop me, as Noah’s mummy, getting four files of information on Noah’s investigation?

The Police have applied for a ‘Public Interest Immunity’ certificate, which, if granted, means they can hide four key files in the investigation. Such a certificate is only used in exceptional circumstances and rarely used in the case of a missing child. This certificate has been brought into play in cases where Police intelligence, informers or paramilitaries are involved.

I as Noah’s mummy have, from the very start of Noah being missing, believed that the police did not use all their resources in finding Noah. This was confirmed when it emerged they had not paid anyone overtime while investigating his death. They did little, if any, forensics and any suspects that were brought to their attention were dismissed as not relevant.

I believe that someone harmed my Noah and that there have been serious and repeated failings in the Police investigation of his death. I will never get Justice for Noah if I do not get all the information. These four files are vital for us to get the truth we desperately need, to find out what really happened to my precious son.

I am asking you as the public, some of you as parents, to sign this petition so that Noah gets the justice he truly deserves and to place transparency and accountability where it should rightly be.

  • Fiona Donohoe.

If you have not watched it, here is Noah's mummy Fiona's podcast. It is, of course, a tough watch - TW - but gives the best understanding of the situation. The interview begins at about 3:21. If you can, please give it the time it deserves and watch until the end.

The petition has nearly 304,000 signatures so far. That's 303,971 people who care, joining together, to put their arms around Noah and Fiona. Will you join us by signing, or signing and sharing as far and wide as you can? Don't forget to confirm your signature so that it counts.

@TheRealMrsMac

Another reason to help, if you need one?

Thinking of Fiona and Noah, as always, but also her trusted sister Niamh. Flowers

This is unbearable. I just can't even begin to imagine what they are going through right now after this. There aren't words really, are there.
ReiltinDubh · 12/04/2022 19:59

Just trying to catch up with thread now.
@EasterBunnysLittleHelper fair play for contacting your MP. I suppose rightly or wrongly my thinking was Irish politicians wouldn't get involved at all, whereas even in England your all part of the UK so it could be brought up in Parliament? Sorry I don't know too much about how it works there.
However I now think that there would be no harm done to contact my own TDs, sure the worst they can do is ignore me.
@TheBlackDarner your summary says it all. Its as plain as the nose on your face that something is being convered up here.

TheRealMrsMac · 12/04/2022 20:01

@Yiayoula

It makes me so very cross !

The mother of a 14 year old child forced to garner support through social media to find out what happened to her son.
Shameful.

And having to go around the streets, putting up posters.

A grieving mother.

It is inhuman.

If there is nothing to hide, then release the files.
If there is something to hide, I.e why they want to apply for the Public Interest Immunity cert, then obviously there is something more than a coronial investigation to be carried out.
No matter what way they spin it, it doesn't make sense.
Common sense alone shows that it doesn't add up.

ReiltinDubh · 12/04/2022 20:08

It is completely and utterly inhuman 💔

ReiltinDubh · 12/04/2022 20:12

The thread is not in active now, despite me posting several times over the last 30 minutes.

Fgs is even further down after my last post!

EasterBunnysLittleHelper · 12/04/2022 20:32

@ReiltinDubh amnesty international get people to write from all over the world to prisoners. They find that public opinion makes a difference, whatever country it's from.

TheRealMrsMac · 12/04/2022 20:33

Where is the fecker now?
It's looking like Superintendent Muir Clark is working for MNHQ. Hmm

Wasn't Noah an Irish citizen?🤔 Time Irish politicians in the South stood up for their fellow Irish citizens in the North instead of standing idly by while they get murdered. Thy can start with little Noah.

When a police force fails to conduct a proper investigation into the disappearance and death of a child it is not fit for purpose.

And, as others have said, it is scandalous that a grieving mother should have to conduct her own campaign to find out why her beloved child is never coming home.

Please, please sign the petition. Fiona needs to know the truth and to ensure justice for her beautiful Noah.

@LauriePartridge4Eva it's just lip service isn't it? Oh the other thread someone mentioned that Fiona had been in touch with Micheál Martin but I don't know what the outcome of that was

In the U.K., do this poor woman a favour and go to writetothem.com - input your postcode and pop an email to your MP and/or local councillors.

It doesn't matter where you are in the world. Help out. Write to Northern Ireland businesses and tell them this needs resolved. Write to UK supermarket companies who supply chicken from Moy Park.

We need to apply pressure here. My little nephews or anyone's kids could be next.

Yes, Dubh, it's shameful...one of their own, a little boy, is murdered and yet again they look the other way. Fiona needs and deserves so much better.
