petition to cancel GCSE/A level exams

Petition to cancel exams/replace with teacher assessment.

I won't be signing.

DS is year 13 and he (and all his friends) desperately want exams to go ahead.

They want to prove themselves and have a grade awarded that in their words "means something".

I wonder how many people signing this have asked the children what they want?

@DeRigueurMortis fair enough. Just posted as I've seen a lot of discussion about the exams, especially with Wales and Scotland cancelling theirs.

Were I still at school I would not want my parents to sign it. Selfish reasons in that I suffered little or no exam nerves and so had an advantage over others.

DS wishes he didn't have exam nerves .

All his year saw the mess re: last years grades and desperately don't want to go through that.

He says not getting the grades via exams is something he could live with, but being awarded a grade he felt was unfair would feel like a punch in the gut.
