I absolutely am against bullying, but since nobody will give any details of what happened, I’m not campaigning for her to be sacked.

@flaviaritt that is your choice of course but some feel that having people want to commit suicide, paying them off 25,000 to silence them and then being found guilty of bullying by an independent enquiry together with her crass remarks and attitude a bit of a clue

I haven’t seen details that make me as confident as you of what happened, so yes, it is indeed my choice.

@flaviaritt apart from investigations of bullying over three departments and an independent report that confirmed she did indeed break the ministerial code for bullying her subordinates, what details would you need to see?

I just want to know exactly what happened to confirm whether I believe she was bullying people. I’ve read a detailed summary and found it very vague.

You’ve posted to hear opinions (I assume) rather than just to lobby for people to sign your petition, and that’s mine so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bullying can be a vague term. Different people have different standards. There can be vague grey areas where both sides claim to be bullied but what is actually happening is that there was a struggle for dominance and the losing side claims bullying to try to manipulate the situation.

Anyone who has stood outside the school gates for over a decade knows this to be true.

We would all be against clear cut bullying, we all know the accusation can be misapplied by frustrated people who can only see their own point of view.

Without the details, I really don’t know who bullied who. Politics is a dirty business.

Well, I suppose my view is that it depends on many different factors. When they say she was shouting (and she shouldn’t have been), shouting what? Swearing in what manner? Was this targeted at one or more people in particular? I have high standards for how people behave at work, and wouldn’t tolerate someone (for example) calling me a “fat bitch”, but would I tolerate someone shouting “for fuck’s sake” if something serious went wrong? I would, but I would challenge it, and if it continued then yes, I’d probably call it bullying. There shouldn’t be aggression at work.

But without the details it’s hard to say.

I believe it was shouting how her staff were ‘fucking useless’.
